Creating stories has always been part of my life<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Ever since I was a child, I wrote stories in my school notebooks: novels, short stories, and plays. And I didn\u2019t just write them; I illustrated them too, often as little comic strips with their own speech bubbles. Without realizing it, two of the things that would shape my creative journey the most were already there: writing stories and illustrating them.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

A Writer Before Becoming a Children\u2019s Book Author<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Writing continued to be part of my life as I grew up. Even during the years when I worked as a lawyer, I kept writing, especially romance novels. One of those novels was published by Ediciones B under the pen name Marien Cuevas. It was titled The Twist of Fate<\/em>Later, for personal reasons, I stopped publishing novels. But some stories are still tucked away in a drawer. Perhaps one day I\u2019ll open it again.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

From Songs to Stories<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

During my youth, I also composed songs, writing both the lyrics and the music. I still have many of them. One holds a particularly special place in my heart: Billy the Little Lamb<\/strong>, a song I wrote for my little brother. Many years later, that song has found its way back to me. Now I want to turn it into an illustrated children\u2019s album<\/strong>, bringing words, images, and music together once again.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

A Life of Drawing and Creativity<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

La ilustraci\u00f3n tampoco es algo que haya descubierto ahora. Desde peque\u00f1a acompa\u00f1aba mis historias con dibujos y vi\u00f1etas.Con los a\u00f1os, esa necesidad de crear fue tomando distintas formas: pintura, ilustraci\u00f3n, tarjetas de felicitaci\u00f3n, \u00e1lbumes de recuerdos, decoraci\u00f3n de objetos y diferentes t\u00e9cnicas artesanales.De ese recorrido naci\u00f3 Lena's Little Craft Shop, un espacio en el que he podido desarrollar y compartir mi faceta art\u00edstica y artesanal.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Children\u2019s Author and Illustrator<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Today, all those experiences come together again in my illustrated children\u2019s books. I write and illustrate stories for children, trying to create little worlds that spark their imagination and allow them to enjoy both the story and the images that accompany it. And perhaps that is why I feel that, in reality, I haven\u2019t changed that much since that little girl who filled her notebooks with stories, drawings, and characters.
